Kami Dubel is an interdisciplinary artist who has a deep rooted interest for faded memories in the form of (personal) symbols and subdued semiotics. The idea of absence, displacement and introspection are the main ingredients for her unique point of view.
The artist's interest for short films and her subtle use of graphic images adds an additional layer of visual sophistication to her work.
Her aesthetic is highly stylized and minimal, giving the viewer a false idea of simplicity.
Kami Dubel graduated from KABK in 2010, and she lives and works in Amsterdam.
